As we know the ride in the Black is stiff - and I guess it has loosend up the rear deck where the speakers are set. It is driving me up a wall as it is rattling on every liitle bump.
I have tried pressing little rubber grommets into the slits to no avail.

Anyone else experience this? Any cures?

Hey Gecko... Are you sure it's coming from this area? My BS has been creaking all winter when turning, backing out of driveway ,etc , and now the temps are warming up it's not as bad.

Maybe it is your 20" wheels.

I have the same "rattle/squeak" from the rear deck. Based on the sound, location, temperatures it occurs at, I'm starting to think its related to the springs that open the trunk. Goes away after the car interior heats up.

Take it to the dealer (if it's still under warranty) and have them fix it - usually they just install pieces of felt tape. I had the same thing on mine and that's what they did. It was the speaker mounting plastic clips that connect to the rear deck.

I have the same rattling sound coming from the back and sounds like from the speaker area as well as it rattles either going through bumpy roads or if I turn up the stereo. Also, the chrome trim rings around the vents and cupholder is peeling off, anyone have that problem and would dealer fix that under warranty?

All that interior stuff is covered by the Mercedes 4-Yr original factory warranty.

God I can't believe these cars are going on 4+ Years old already...!

The reality is... if there is no TSB on it, the dealer is going to screw around trying to add sound deadening and batting material all over the car until they fix it. I am not sure I want them tearing apart interior panels until they fix it. How many CLK63 coupes does your dealer work on in a week/month?

Mine has had the same rattle/squeek since day one, impossible to pin down the source and it's annoying as hell. Cat delete and longtubes seemed to help out a little

Mine was narrowed down to the clips that hold the speakers on the rear deck were loose.
