Thanks for taking action on what so many Black owners want. I remember on the AMG Private Lounge chat about 2 years ago I asked an AMG rep if every Black owner kicked in $1000.00 for R&D and download would that cover the cost and they pretty much shot the idea down. It truly is the only thing lacking on the car. I too would pay for it, but being in the USA it would have to be something a local shop could do.

Thanks again for the kind words of encouragement . Th ecar is back here now from the bodyshop ( well it will be tomorrow morning ) and it will be off to Germany by the end of the week .

Maybe we should assemble a headcount of people who are ex-Europe who would like to see an option to purchase this upgrade shoud it in fact work. Would be good to go these guys and say hey, there are a dozen customers already and waiting lets make a deal.

I think the logistics is going to make it very difficult. If they are doing this the way I think they are doing this I assume they need hardware/special ODB tool to do this. I doubt they are going tolet the tool out of their site. If this becomes reality and we want it here in the states I would assume they would have to do on-site regional tunes. Either that or each one of us foot the bill not only for the tune itself but to fly the tech to each of our home towns.
Don't hold me to that quote but I'm fearful that's going to be the reality, either that or they set up US distributors/resellers that can purchase the hardware/tool.
