The view count on this thread probabaly puts it in the top 3% of all Black Series threads, you have owners willing to throw money at companies who can come up with this and yet its near dead silence on the modifiers end. I assume this takes a highly skilled crew to get it right and most don't have the engineering talent to pull it off at a price that would make it profitable for them. I hope a wrong though.

What exactly is the point of throttle blipping? Can't you do it manually?

Rev matching on downshifts, which relaxes the rear end of the car when pushing it hard. Besides that, it sounds very cool.

With a manual transmission yes, with the automatic it's sort of useless since the computer arranges everything.

It's a little bit over rated for a slush box ... but, I guess it does sound cool.

I'll pass

Then TCU is still in complete control. And when you press the 'down' button it's still not clear exactly when the gearbox will change. So you press the throttle hoping it's in the right moment which it won't be most of the time.

I don't want to over simplify this but tuners always "borrow" code from one model to insert into other cars. IE they borrow Audi MAF codes for a hitachi maf conversion on a Porsche.

Very difficult with an automatic transmission, matched rev via computer is much much easier.

WTDoom - were you in Henley-on-Thames on Saturday 30th September?

I posted on mbclub.co.uk about seeing a CLK63 BS which sounded to me like it blipped on the downshift and one of the members pointed me to this thread.

Gents the modification is very complex , I'm not sure it can be done elsewhere . Need a particular skill set ( no offence to any tuners on here )

We live not far from Henley. We'd been to a talk in the Kenton Theatre and you rumbled, popped and burbled past as we were leaving.

It was you: I had a look at your clips and the registration matches.

Quote: What kind of lap times did the 68 Mustang in your photo number 5 put down? Is that a resto-mod with coil-overs and such or is it sporting 1960's OE running gear?
sorry mate , no idea of laptimes . was running pretty well though . it was a historic racer , fia papers etc so true to period .
