New SS Long Tube Headers being made for CLK63BS.

The headers will come back from Swain Tech with a white ceramic finish.
It's the same Hi-Tech finish you'd see on race cars at the 24hrs of Daytona.
I've asked the header shop to secure 2 cans of VHT Flameproof silver and spray them.
Not so much for additional heat coating but more for looks..
Has anybody else... noticed how different this set of headers are..?

With the mid-section they are providing it will be a complete bolt-on..
You take off the Stock manifolds, down-pipes/mid-pipes and store them.
I think most of the ECU tuners have the CEL issue covered... if needed.!
No weld tubes is one of the differences, but there is another thing that is also different.

Whatever we're tuning!
Lets just say that they will be very attractively priced.
As Jim has mentioned, this system is a direct replacement for your stock system going into the OEM resonators. Also the headers can be bought as a standalone item without purchasing the complete system.

Headers just got back from Swain Tech today.
I've attached (2) photos showing the white ceramic coating and (1) after we VHT silver painted them.
Headers should be back on the car tomorrow for the mid-section fabrication and the fixture done up to reproduce it also.

I really don't want them to stand out and on my old 427 Cobra the White side pipes turned brown after a short time.

Drove the car home this afternoon about a 2 hour trip in all.
Nothing to report bad...
No drone when cruising at highway speeds.
No creaks or banging from under the car from the system.
I can report that the car sounds just plain nasty... when floored.
But back off the gas and it quiets right back down to the normal BS sound.
Many Thanks to the header shop for an over the top system....

Just last year they shipped over 800 sets of just Camaro headers.
They also do custom header work for GM, FORD, CHRYSLER & FIAT.
In fact they were chosen to build the headers for the new COPO Camaro that GM is selling...
