Why we at Premier love Satin Guard...it's very easy to clean! This film is oil resistant so all you need to do is wash.

Amazing work. Care to give us a ball park of the cost of the job. Just wondering.
Not a big fan of the tint %. I understand it blogs the heat but it is just too light.

For Florida, we are hearing installers would charge anywhere from 5k-6k

Oh, wow, I totally missed this thread (since it was posted in the CLK63 BS subforum, not the C63 one). (I wish we had a way to cross-post threads in subforums.)

I originally planned Satin, then as the date was approaching, I straddled the fence between Clear and Satin. Once I walked into Premier's workshop and saw the Satin CLK63 BS and Satin GT-R that they had, I was instantly sold.

I've been extremely impressed with this job. As time permits, in the next week or two, I'll post a full write-up + more pics.

Indeed, seriously good stuff. I watched that vid a few times while waiting for my car to be done.

Yeah, this is absolutely beautiful. I've even had someone recently comment on how stunning my paint job was. Had to eventually let them in on the secret that it's not paint.

+1. I was quite impressed with how minimal the gaps were; even around the rear deck lid spoiler!

And I like the idea (and the looks) of going clear film on the carbon fiber. Perfect in every way!
Thanks, Jeff. I appreciate it!

That black CLK is a 2005 CLK DTM. Hot stuff. One of 5 federalized specimens in the US. We got a couple "AMG Family Reunion" shots. If they haven't been posted here, yet, I'll see if I can dig them up and/or post them in my upcoming detailed review.

First of all - Happy New Year to all members!!! If you would like to view more Satin Guard protected cars, just google: "Satin Guard" and you will find scores of projects of ours with this product.

Satin Guard is not vinyl, which tends to be the misconception here. Vinyl is typically 1.5-2.5 mils thick whereas Satin Guard is 3 times thicker. It is a translucent paint protection film that the manufacturer has a surface coating that will product a 2 tone metallic effect. In lower lighting conditions, it will look mattish. In direct sunlight, the film will exhibit metallic Satin flakes. Quite unique.

Thank you, sir! I really do wish I could just keep this C63 BS. And that's why I'm searching for a good/proper home for her.
