Driving something you know was made in such low quantities, it's so rare, something that sounds so good, looks so mean (I think it looks like a crouching Lion...)?, I ask again, how special is it??
As I've become more and more familiar with the AMG history, knowing that the same people that make our engines, build the engines for arguably the finest car ever made (Pagani). Maybe is just me, but it makes me feel a bit special...
I own a CLS55 and an ML63, love both of them, check both cars forums every now and then... but for some reason, I keep thinking about your car, I keep coming here, to look at it, to read your stories and see you muse about how special this piece of engineering muscle is.
In my opinion, it's the rarest form of german sports car, an emotional car, just one look at it and BAM!, you get this gut feeling..., heck!, you could argue this is more italian in nature than german, it's unapologetic, it's macho, it's unequivocally a man's car, it elicits emotion when you see it, no doubt about that.
Enjoy it, meanwhile, I'll keep dreaming about it, and someday this year, I hope to join you as a proud owner, now that, really makes me feel special.

Very well stated. Those who appreciate driving performance know the Black Series. What a fantastic driving car this is. It's nice to have a sleeper that's unrecognized by the vast majority, yet envied by those who know..

The best and most succinct description of this car I've read yet. Moved from a Ferrari V12 to the Black and never looked back. The Black's relatively innocuous exterior allows one to enjoy this car without fanfare. What freedom to drive a car this incredibly capable while the masses ignore it (including cops--$$--who don't give it a second glance)! If a stealth fighter was a road car, the Black would be it. Fly low.... Originally Posted by R8forCLK63BS

It's as special as Corky in a short bus on his way to the Olympics.....in other words it's VERY special.
