Why would you go any lower unless it's got some history? That's not exactly a high mile car. Seems like the price is very good.

Price is only as good as the person who wants to buy it. For example, I'm not exactly looking at this time, but I'm always open to cars in the $50-60k range. I don't mind some miles (in fact I prefer it so you can work out the bugs under warranty) and I don't mind track time as I plan to drive mine around. If you have completely gold colored calipers though (and they don't say Carbon Ceramic), then I do question how much track time. Not looking for a garage queen; I know some others are for preservation purposes and that's fine too.

I was just surprised that you still have it since March (since I had already replied in this thread!). Best of luck!

well said Viper, And the reason for the flexibility in price is simply Im looking to move onto something else at this point and rather spend my winter looking for the right GT3 than trying to sell the BLACK.

GT3 sounds awesome as well. I look forward to reading a comparison on what you think about both cars!

the reality is there aren't many enthusiast ready to put out 60 large for a dated design unique car.

I love the car as well but it will depreciate just like any of AMG stuff. CL65 went from $180k to $30k in 7 years.

Good luck on sale.

CLK63 BS
IMO, it's a different buyer. The cash buyer searching for a CLK BS will pay up for a pristine low mileage example. If you use a consignment shop that can facilitate financing and trade-ins, you open it up to a bigger market. With the add-ons, I think it's priced fairly. Were I still in the market, I'd have considered this one. GLWS.

Fully agree. In general, a 63 Black buyer isn't looking for the latest design, newest cabin tech, best handling, or fastest car; as there are some obvious choices on the market if someone is looking for these things. They're buying the Black for what it is...beautiful, muscular lines (timeless in my mind), limited production, the wonderful, mechanical sounds it makes and handling that will put you sideways with an oak tree and in a "box" if you don't respect it.

You can't compare a CL65 to a CLK63 Black Series.
Two very different buyers, one who appreciates a bespoke limited production brutal street race car and the other who wants performance with luxury.
Obvious if you're making the comparison you lack familiarity with the Black Series and it's less then streetable attitude.
Even comparing the CLK with the C Black Series, you'll find that the CLK can be a handful to drive....

You can't compare any car to the V12TT AMG's with respect to depreciation. The V12TT's depreciate faster than anything else. Everyone knows this, and accepts this (since some of us still love and buy the 65's).

It's very similar to most (non-limited edition) V12 Ferrari's vs. V8 Ferrari's.

Guys....I love the CLK63 Black Series very much. But all this bantering about the pricing being 'right' or not can be summed up by one simple thing: It has been for sale most of the year and has not sold, where others have sold much more quickly. Period. So that should speak for itself regarding market pricing.

Now, that being said, I also very much support a seller saying, 'Look. This is what it takes for me to sell it. If you want to pay it, fine. If not, fine. I will keep it'. So that is another important factor too.

CLK63 Black Series
There is no right or wrong theory here on this topic. I could've sold the car within the last year 6 times to "wholesalers".I also had a deposit on it 7 months ago to a man who got diagnosed with terminal cancer and so I gave him his Deposit back.....and most recently to a forum member who ended up going with a dealer car for financing. In my opinion, this is a special car,one of the most special from MB in a while and I dont want a wholesaler flipping it for a profit. This car should go to someone looking for a beautiful example of a limited production MACHINE. That being said, If I were a dealer and could offer financing anyone one of us could come along with 20k down and drive off with this or other BS's available and I believe thats the reason for the gap in prices. I own my BS outright and not in any NEED to sell it...id like to move onto something else and there is a number that makes it feesable or I keep it till I get the right price or NEED to sell it....each sale and seller has its own story.
