Hi,

Just want to do a quick review on the OEM style CF hood I got from Stone Carbon. It took a while to get it made and shipped from China but Carl @ SC was very nice to deal with. He answered all my questions promptly and the product came out great! My main goal was to reduce some weight and maintain an "OEM" look.

The hood is wet carbon, total cost was ~ $1200 shipped from China. (I can't remember the exact price, it's been a while. I did have to pick it up at the airport customs though, to your door will be ~$200-300 more). The mold comes from an OEM hood. Carl can do full dry carbon as well, but the price more than doubles .

It comes with all the mounting holes, and you can even drill the small holes to transfer the insulator from the back of the hood over. All latches, window washers, and hood supports transfer over directly.

The hood is very well made and fitment is great! And this was simply installed by me and my wife Took me a day to get it adjusted right. Of course if you have a pro do it, it may come out even better!

The hood with all the latches attached weigh 23 lbs, the OEM hood without any latches weigh 44 lbs. Overall saving is about 22 lbs. It's a significant difference. I feel the steering is lighter but more communicative, car is easier to turn in, and mid-corner adjustments are easier to do as well. Overall very happy with the product!

Looks very good, Stone Carbon seems to be one of the better choices from China. Can't beat the price.
