Can't believe it but selling my Black Series
Well I could not pass on an auction for a Rossion Q1, so my beloved 2008 CLK Black Series has to go. I have not listed it for sale officially yet, but just wanted to put it out here. My Black has no issues, and is in beautiful condition inside and out. Only one small stone chip that can easily be fixed on the passenger door. I powder coated the calipers RED and the rims Titanium. Trim is blacked out and the windows are tinted. Let me know if anyone has any interest. Mileage is about 27K, Black exterior color. Asking $69900. Here is one pic. I will post the link when it gets listed in the next few days.
Thanks!

Congrats
Good luck on the sale and PLS let us know how you like the new car. I was days away from making a Q1 purchase when I found my BLK. I would love to hear your impressions, comparisons etc...

I will miss my Black, as it is a phenomenal car. To compare the Black Series with a Rossion Q1 is really comparing apples to oranges. The Black is a more substantial solid production car that has race car handling, raw power, and great engine notes.
The Rossion is a car you don't see every day and gets a ton of attention. The Rossion hooks up it's power better, but I can't tell which is faster. The Rossion has pure sports car character, low to the ground, quick turn in, lightweight, and offers a fun 6 speed tranny. The interior is nice, but no where near the quality or refinement of the Black.
I bought both because I like special cars that offer the best bang for the buck. I feel I have succeeded with both cars, and I have no regrets. In the ideal world, I would keep both. I just have too many toys.

I have only tracked my Noble once, but not the Rossion. I have also autocrossed the Noble a few times, and talk about fun! Adrenaline pumping runs. Wish I had time to track the Black, but never did. I am sure from what I have seen in videos that it would have also been a thrill ride.

Been a while, still trying to sell my Black. Price dropped to $65495 plus I put new Pirellis, and full Mercedes B Service. My Black needs nothing but a new enthusiast! Thanks! Here is the link.

Yes it surprises me now many blacks are for sale and don't sell. I can only think that the C63 and the C63 BS offer so much bang for the buck that they have crushed the market and enthusiasts want the more modern vehicle

I remember in the day Dodge and Plymouth could not give the Daytona and Superbirds away...they literally sat on the lot for a year or more...now look at them.

I just think the market doesn't know these things exist or know much about them.

[QUOTE=John.dianne;5977218]Funny, there were 7 BSs for sale online here in Aus for months then, bang, now only 2. Seemed the market woke up all of a sudden, within a 3 month window, the same time I got hold of mine in December, they started selling.

Yes i check carsales.com from time to time and last time i looked there 4 for sale, 4 out of 32 ever brought to the country. I suspect a few enthusiasts might have been trying to move them to get into the new C63 BS. How are you enjoying yours mate? I love mine

I'm enjoying it Mav, having only done 6,500ks from new it's still pretty tight. It's a giggle driving with all 4 windows down, all those cackles and farts from the exhaust, great. Still coming to terms with the ridiculous lack of rear end traction compared to my previous few cars (Cayman R, E92 M3, 1M). Easy on round corners is the order of the day

I have been looking for a fun car to drive occasionally, I have owned several exotics and felt like the BS would be a good choice for a Sunday driver or a track day or two. I agree about the C63BS vs. CLK63BS. I can afford either, so price isn't an issue, but I can't make up my mind on which one.

I always buy tires from TireRack. Only 4 choices for the BS. The best option in my opinion are the Pirelli PZero Silvers. Excellent grip compared to the "old" stock Pirelli Corsas. Highly recommend them after trying them out on the Black.

For new shoes, decided to try the Hankooks based on reviews and "bang for the buck" price. Having gone thru a second set of Corsas, while a great track tire, they weren't great for day-to-day driving...traction (need to warm them up first) and wear, as expected, aren't great. If you're looking to track the car and don't have a second set of wheels, they're an alternative to straddle the street/track line. That said, if price and tire wear are concerns, and you don't plan on using them for heavy track time, I've been extremely happy with the Hankooks.
