Front license plate bracket....does removing leave any damage?

So it appears that I will be purchasing a CLK63 Black Series this week, and the car has a front license plate and bracket on it. I (thank goodness) live in a state where we do not require such an appearance robbing monstrosity, and will be removing it immediately. I do not know how this is attached to the car, so I am curious of a couple of things.

1.) How hard is this bracket to remove?

2.) Will it leave behind any damage / proof that it was there?

Thank you, and have a wonderful day.

If it has the 2 holes just have a body shop fill it and paint it.

Find a good body shop to fill the holes with fiberglass reinforced plastic filler and repaint the bumper cover. If they keep the repair area small they should just be able to paint and blend out to the factory painted area of the bumper cover without having to shoot the entire bumper cover. This is the proper way to fill the holes and it will look factory new and last forever in any climate.

Thank you. I appreciate it. I hope I can find a local shop that can do it well. It is amazing how many sub-standard shops there are that work on high end cars.
