About CLK 63 cabriolet convert to CLK63BS?
Hi everybody!I had bought a used CLK63 cabriolet and I want to convert it to
CLK BS next year(but the exterior will be build like CLK DTM).After the transplantation the chassis of CLK BS,I will tune my car by Weistec (including every tuning program like stage III supercharger+engine internals+built proof transmission etc)The engine power will be tuned about 800-900rwhp,I wonder the original KW suspension can hold this power?Have any other better choice(Moton or JRZ) ?or the original KW suspension can hold well ?And which tire size can hold the power properly?(I prepare set the anterior 265/30/20 and rear 325/30/20 Michelin pilot sport cup 2) Many thanks!

um.. it takes more than just the coilover as far as suspension goes (and then there are other factors too) to plant the car down when it's making that kind of power to the rear wheels; I'm curious, how many cars/builds have you had the experience of ownership to really know what you're about to do?
instead of going to inch-up and thinner the tires, shouldn't you be inching down a notch to run some Hoosiers?

C32->MKB 420HP+3.27Final gear+LSD(Sold)(275/35/19)
W210E55->Kleemann stage8(sold)(315/25/19)
W211E55->180crankpully+larger intercooler+high flow water pump+aquamist
water pump+evosport head+MKB LSD(3.06)(about 640HP)
C350->just Chip and blistein suspension(295/30/19)
Supra->Titan 3.5L stroker twin turbo(over 1000rwhp ,ready upgrade to 1400rwhp now)(305/30/18 R888)
I think good suspension is more important than the power.My CLK is prepared
for daily drive and sometimes highway racing,not track use,so the Hoosier is not suitable,thanks for your suggestion.

KWs will work fine, you are going to want to go with a stiffer rate spring. Do not run 20 inch wheels/tires, less sidewall equates to less traction. Go with a 19x12 rear with a 305. You can not go wider than a 305 on a CLK BS, however I am not sure if the CLK DTM rear fenders can accomdate anything wider. Sounds like a heck of a build but just make sure you thunk everything out. The fact that you want to make 800 plus hp and install 20's tells me you migt be biting off more than you can chew. If anything you want to go down to 18's for optimum performance.

I forgot about all that stuff as well - my carbon pole position seats will be going as well.
