Mercedes-AMG not making more Black Series models... for now

What do you guys think about this news? Could the BS brand become even more exclusive now that the AMG brand is a bit diluted with the AMG Sport models? Is this a positive for us CLKBS owners?

I think this is more to do with the fact that BS models tend to come late in a models lifecycle, there's not really a BS version of anything due for next 4 years ish?

You probably weren't there at the AMG PL events in Thermal Club end of 2014, but the product director of AMG NA confirmed the production of the next Black Series will be the AMG GT BS, eta 2020.

Probably best to keep the Black Series models far spread apart to keep the exclusiveness, rarity, and demand to be present and consistent. There is still a demand for the CLKBS even after 7-8 years, wouldn't be right otherwise.

urite. Was chatting on the PL on the last chat session. AMG GT BS is pretty much the next in line. but they aren't saying much as far as eta. takes a few years before they bring out the BS model.

Thanks for the 411.. If it's indeed 2020 then it'd be great timing for me. That would ideally be when I'd consider selling the BS, and coinciding with the AMG GT BS launch would be free marketing.

CLK63BS
I'm glad to hear this. IMO, while the C63BS is a great car, I think it is too similar to the CLK63BS. The SLK55BS was quite different than the CLK63BS, which was quite different than the SL65BS, which is quite different than the SLS BS. The C63BS and the CLK63BS are just too similar, and started to dilute the image a bit. Again, no knocks on the C63BS (it is a great car).
