One Lap of America - thinking of entering my Black Series.

So the One Lap of America event is coming up in about a month and a half, and I am seriously considering running Nero, my Black Series. As far as I know, nobody has ever entered this event with one, so running it and unleashing the beast seems like a good idea.

My question is, has anyone on here taken their Black Series on a long distance rally like this? All told, it would be something like 3,200 miles in 1 week, and 7 or 8 track events in that same period of time. So I am trying to get an idea of the pluses and minuses of running this car in something like that. What preparations (aside from normal common sense like fresh fluids, brakes, tires, etc) should I plan on?

Thank you for any insight. I appreciate it very much.

Most I've done in a day is a ~450 mi round trip from Dallas to Austin. As you probably know, its a very comfortable car to be in for long trips. Probably not the case if we had the euro Recaro Pole Positions.

Pluses? Gotta know that by now. Minuses? No spare, not on run-flats (although that's not entirely a bad thing), thirsty car + small gas tank, an expensive (relatively speaking) car to replace should something happen.

Hydraulic floor jack and spare. Maybe even a used 275 30 19 tire in the event you need to replace either the front or rear in some rural area? Mini air compressor. Fuses. Definitely will need to map out refueling given the small tank. And since you'll have the jack, track pads to swap out for those events.

Oh, and don't forget to write...

CLK BS
The BS is well designed and should be able to take the abuse without much issues, as long as the car is relatively well sorted with the basic track prep. I think you'll also need a co-driver? It also depends on what you want to get out of it. Most entrants are racers with a good amount of track experience. The cars are usually prepared by a good race shop as if they're going for endurance racing.

Ultimately I think if you are an experienced racer you will have a lot of fun. BS is a very unique car--good luck!
