Dime sent me the equipment to do it remotely. The tune consists of an ECU tune and a TCU tune. I just completed the ECU tune tonight. It took a little longer than tuning with a MyGenius. I didn't have time to do the TCU tune tonight but I am planning on completing it tomorrow. Apparently the TCU tune isn't always successful through the OBD II port and requires the connection to be made through the TCU connector under the car.

One thing to note is the rev match tune flashes your ECU back to stock so if you are tuned you will need to get re-tuned after. Lucky for me the tech at Dime knows Tony at Race IQ so he is going to send him my base file with the rev match tune so I can get it sent back to me to be used in a MyGenius.

I had heard some negative reviews about Dime but I can tell you my experience so far has been excellent. The closest tuner to me was about 8 hours away so they tried to see if they could get a tech to come to me. When they were unable to provide that service they offered to send me the equipment to perform the tune remotely. I will reply back with the results once the rev match tune is completed.

I would be curious to know as well. Do you have a link for the tune?

Very interesting, I hope everything goes well with the TCU reprogramming and you can give us good news. Would you mind to post a photo or telling us about the cost of the Kit? I have the same problem, the closest tunner company capable of doing this mod is 15 hours away by car so I am working with another company that is trying to activate on my CLK BS. For the moment we have already activated in mode "on" the function of "rev match" in the ECU that is configured in "off" from de factory. We have pending "flashing" The TCU by OBD to introduce the software package of the C63 (VGSNAG2 0074487710_001_Fladen) that sends the order to the ECU.

Everything went off without a hitch. The TCU tune took all of 5 minutes. The bark when down shifting @ 3k in 3rd is vicious! Contact Dime racing for pricing

I'll post a video later today or tomorrow

FYI, The price listed at the website is incorrect
https://dimeracing.com/store/mercede...-upgrades.html

I had to wait for the equipment to get back from the UK so they are willing to ship it overseas

Not the best video but this should show you how it works

It works flawlessly. The tune updates the TCU firmware

That sounds good but I'd like to hear a hard pull, 0-80 or so and then hard braking back to 0.

What does that have to do with rev matching?

Did you purchase the valve body upgrade as well or just the TCU tune?

Because I would assume that a rev match upgrade would also address the upshifts that are uninspiring to say the least. Someone made the comment that it now shifts better than a C63 BS, so I wanted to see if that was the case.

I feel like the shifts are a little crisper. It doesn't lope into the next gear as much but this could also be due to the adaptations being reset. This being said there is no way it shifts better than a C63 BS. The C63 BS utilizes the 7G tronic MCT

I'll take another video and post it

That's kinda what I figured. Tex5 made that comment which seemed hard to believe. It does sound a whole lot better though, huge improvement. Definitely will improve the fun factor.

Hey. Looking to get this done to my CLK63 Black Series remotely as well. How many miles have you driven since the update? Any issues noted so far? Did you have to get underneath the vehicle to reprogram the TCU?

I have driven close to 1000 miles since the update. No issues at all. I was fortunate to get the tune to work through the OBD port and didn’t have to get under the car.

the tune is worth every penny. I have nothing but good things to say about the tune and the customer service.

Great, appreciate the response. They will be sending me the laptop next week for the remote tune as well. Do you also get the ECU tune that increases hp/torque as part of the rev matching upgrade? If so, was there a noticeable change in the performance of the vehicle after the tune? Thanks!

Dime Racing's website doesn't seem to be working. Anyone else having this issue (or is it just me)?

resurrecting this......dime is gone. Renntech is the only one local, and they want the throttle body too for the rev match.

I said the upshift and downshift are quicker but never that it was as quick as a 7G MCT ;-)

after doing some research it seems the TCU software tune when done by itself without the valve body mod was the cause of the failures. Weistec stopped doing the rev match alone.

Searching for CLK63 AMG BS and G63 AMG

Sorry, new to the forum, but what failures are you referring to in your post? Looking at picking up a BS and recognize some of them have the TCU tune, so curious what to look out for and the potential issues prevalent with it.

seems the m156 had some transmission failures with the rev match WITHOUT the valve body electronics modification. Searching here ive heard of only a few. Renntech still does it with valve body mod, but it is more than just a TCU software update involved and might explain the high cost from them.
