Is this the same car? Is the dealership reusing your car's pictures to represent another white CLK63 AMG BS?

Yes, that's my car. I think it's the ad is still online from a few months back. Messy dealer, not the best experience...

Ok within a few minutes I got an answer back... don’t know what they are thinking. I bought mine by realmusclecar in Florida. I don’t know if they co-operate but the car is sold 5 months ago. Pretty funny. Beware of scammers

FWIW on pricing for head bolts, my friend works at an indy and does side work for me. I had him look into the head bolt cost and he said that he could get the updated MB ones for $240 (he said that's retail price) and that it would probably take him a full weekend to do the job. Going by their shop rate it would most likely cost around $2500-$3000 to have them done.
I'm going to do them eventually on my E63, just have to wait for him to have a free weekend to tear the engine apart. Lucky for me I could probably get away with giving him $500 + the cost of parts for the job.

Ok, pictures will say enough in my opinion. The guys from MLC 63 in France, Paris are switching the head bolts, valve buckets and make it free of any leaks for the future.
I must say, It's hard to see your perfectly healty engine like that but I keep myself strong with 'better safe than sorry'.
It seems that the guys from MLC 63 do a great job on the engine. They take pictures and stuff, great way to see what is happening.
Keep you guys updated. Thanks again to Tex5 for all help and translation.

Did the exact same thing. Modern Mercedes Repair Specialist, a local shop here in Dallas did the work. Those SLS BS lifters are not cheap.

Better safe than sorry, guys. I only drove it 5 miles after my rebuild due to winter. But no issues at all. The engine runs better without ticking noises.
Did you drove it after the rebuild, Cedric? I have now the flooded C63 in since monday. I hope to bring it to Nicolas within a few weeks. Hope to see you than!

Hi guys,
What's more cool than meet forum members and talk about our AMG passion? Well, not much in my opinion. Today I met Tex5 for the first time, he was in my country with his BS for a track day.
So that was perfect to meet Tex5 and his amazing car... It's funny how things can go, we just talked a little bit on this forum and today I was co-driver in his BS. So is that cool or not?
We did some laps on the track in Spa, Franchorchamps (where the RED PIG made AMG famous years ago) and it was a blast. Unfortunatly the track was wet and slippery but in the end, we drove the black series in its natural habitat, the track.
Unfortunatly it was not possible to bring my own white BS with me due to head bolts replacement but I hope we can meet again with both our cars and take some pictures and make some fun on the track!
Thanks Tex5 for the hospitality from you and your AMG friends, hope you all got a good trip home!

Hi guys,
It's now just over a year, I bought my BS and it was quite an adventure since then...
I started with importing the car from USA to my country... After a long 2 months the car was finally here.
I was aware of the headbolt issue by the M156 engine so I decided to let prevently change them but that turned out a little more difficult than first thought.
End of December '17 I transported my car to an indy shop in France (400 kms away). Just after new-year the car was back, I drove it 5 miles and put it back in storage to wait for springtime.
It must be end of January I received a message from Tex5 (that did just the same work on his engine) that there was a serious problem with the sealing of the head bolts. They could leak, so that was not the most pleasant news but the indy shop was fair enough to rebuilt it on their own costs, which was already a huge relieve. I didn't got any cels on the last time I drove it for those 5 miles so I was hoping mine was good.
Unfortunatly it was not... End of february a guy came to pick up the car to bring it to the indy shop again, just after I started it, the coolant cel went on... So **** just got real... I told the guy to load the car fast because it could cause damage. I drove the car on the trailer and after I accelerate a little bit to get on it, one of the trailer plates jumped away... The car was just 1/25.4 with the rear wheels on the trailer but I couldn't do anything. It was not possible to bring the trailer plate back on it's place because the rear tire was on that space and I couldn't drive it any further because it was stuck... To be honest, we were so lucky that the trailer plate didn't jumped away earlier or the car should have damage on the side skirt. I called like three friends to come with all the goodies they had to help us out. After 30 minutes the car was finally on the trailer without any damage. The good news was that the most stressful situation of my 'car life' was over, the sad new was that in those 30 minutes we need to let the car running and the 'check engine' light came on...
The transport guy brought the car to the indy where they solved the problem with the sealing and after another 3 weeks, I asked a friend of mine to pick it up them self with an easier trailer to load it.
So the car was back home, it was like end of March and still wintertime in my country. The car was dirty because it was on a parking lot for a few days so I decided to clean her. I started her and after a few seconds I saw some white smoke coming from under the hood.... I let it run for about 10 minutes to check where it came from... Nothing found and the smoke was still there so I contacted the guy from the indy shop again, he told me it could be some oil on the headers, nothing to worry about. So I cleaned her and put her back in storage. After a month, weather was good to go, I started the car and after a few seconds, the white smoke was back, the same amount of smoke like the first time... No cels on and nothing to see with the eye.
So I planned an appointment by the MB dealer to let them check what happened... Another 3 weeks of waiting for the appointment's date and another 2 weeks after I got it back... Lucky me, it was only a gasket that was not good mounted after the head bolts job. So after new oil, new gasket I was ready to go... So got it back since 2 weeks now and I drove it last weeks for about 200 miles without any problems... I must be honest, there was a moment that I was really thinking about quitting the hobby but after all I'm so happy that I keep going on with it.
So after all, no hard feeling about the indy shop, the shop owner is a good guy, had some bad luck as this is not a random job but he knows his job for sure. The most stressful situation was the trailer story, you really don't want to see your BS balancing on the edge of a trailer with the rear wheels.
In brief, I'm happy that this is all over and I can finally enjoy it... It's such a blast to drive, very hardcore but so much fun!
So here it is, alive and kicking!
