The factory 18s were not staggered, same size front and rear. All factory 19s and 20s were staggered. The key variable with a 4MATIC car is that the front and rear tire diameter must be close enough not to show different wheel speeds to the computer.The car doesn't know or care what size or type of wheels are in use, only how fast the wheels are turning relative to one another.
As mentioned, cars with the "AMG Line' package may have a clearance issue over the front brake calipers with a factory 18 inch wheel.
