Wrecked black series at copart.

Hi, by the way, this is the same vehicle that I went up to Portland Ore in November 2018 to buy. However, the PPI showed it needed $30,000 worth of mechanical/bodywork, and repainting. He wanted $59,000. I offered $51,000 and he accepted my offer and FedEx'ed overnight a refundable deposit check. Attached is a copy of the two pages (1st and 7th) Carfax which shows my PPI date of 11/19/2018 at 51,848 miles. After the PPI was completed by the shop foreman, the kid met me at the dealership and I showed him the PPI. Bottom line was I offered $35,000 (Cash) and he was, to say the least, quite irritated. He was going to keep my deposit check and I pointed out the "note line" on the check which stated "Refundable Deposit....." If he cashed the check, that meant he agreed and accepted to the terms of the refundable deposit on the car. Consequently, he handed me my check. Anyway, I wrote up my experience in the CLK63 AMG BS forum. See attached url below which is my brief discussion in that forum. That's too bad......such great potential. Every once in a while I think about that car. I'm still looking for 1 of the remaining Fire Opal Red (Mars Red) 7 imported into the US in 2008.

You played your cards right with that one luckily. This car looks pretty rough on both sides. Looks like it might need major surgery and its already had accidents before. Unfortunately I think this might effect the value of the remaining red cars. Im sure someone will get it and properly fix it but its still one less clean title example.
