Beautiful car my man. I would love to get one of these... if only it came in Bluetec. Im going to call the person you got your wheels from to see if they will fit a '12 e350 bluetec. Cheers. Are they 20's?

Thanks.
They're 19s...20s are too gangsta for me.
Commend you for being fuel effecient. I'm sure bluetec will be here soon enough.

htn75 - Wheels look excellent! What do you think of the Hankook tires so far?

I'm quite happy with them, though I'm no expert to really analyze.
I've had Pirelli P0 before and felt that it was much more superior to my present Hankooks. Then again, Price point is in play here.

I'm looking into replica 19" wheels to replace the stock 18"s as well right now. You weren't kidding about what a pain it is. No one seems to want to make a solid statement about which offsets would be correct.

I did some digging and was able to find the stock offsets for the 18" wheel package.

The fronts are 34.5 and the rears are 48 on 8.5 and 9.5 staggered wheels.

The lower you go with the offset the further it will push the wheel out out from the car. Judging from the OP's pics it looks like the offset on those wheels is slightly lower than stock, which is exactly what I'm looking for as well. The stock wheels are sunk into the fenders a little too much in my opinion.

I'm going to do some measurements this afternoon to see how much lower I want to go with the offset. Just a quick guess on what offsets I am going to try and order my wheels at are.

Front's 30 offset. This will give 4 mm more poke over stock. 30 offset seem to be a common size available. You can see on this chart the new 19 vs the old 18.

Rears 40 this gives 8mm of poke over stock as shown in chart.

These are just quick guesses, and like I said I'm going to be some further research and measurements this afternoon. It just seems as if this information is hard to find and I thought others may want to know. Good luck to anyone going aftermarket with wheels.

These are the wheels I'm going for. They came on the S63. Really good looking wheel IMO.

Photoshop just to get an idea what they should look like.

Went ahead and placed the order today. After I did the measurements I saw the amount of space I had to use as far as going with a lower offset.

The rears had a ton of space to be kicked out, I'm pretty sure a 30 offset there would have worked but in order to keep the tires from pissing all over the rear bumper I ended up going with a 35 offset. I'm thinking that will kick them out just enough to sit a bit more flush, but not totally flush with the top of the fender.

In the front I went with a 30 offset. The fronts were alot closer to fender than the rear so there was less margin of error.

So if anyone is still wondering about running reps and what size. At this time I would recommend going with

Front
19 x 8.5 eta 30 255/35 19

Rear
19 x 9.5 eta 35 285/30 19

For this application the stock wheels are going to be used for winter duty so we wanted to keep the stock TPMS system in place. Keep in mind if you aren't just replacing your stock wheels and chucking them you will probably want to purchase TPMS sensors for the new wheels. That way when it comes time to swap for winter you don't have to pay to have the tires broken down off the wheels and risk damage swapping out the TPMS sensors. We ended up getting TPMS sensors to put in the new wheels at a cost of 230 for the set with installation. These will typically run you anywhere from 230-300 with installation.

Make sure you use a shop that knows what they are doing when it comes to getting replacement sensors. They can run a quick test using the valve stem to see what you require. The MB TPMS shows the actual psi on the dash readout, where as others just notify for low pressure warnings.

I am doing all this research for my dad as this is his car, but he would never put the time in to figure out what he needs to do to run aftermarket wheels.

I used this forum to get alot of the information I needed. Like I mentioned before it's not easy to find useful information about this car yet. I want to thank the OP for giving me an idea of what direction we wanted to go.

I'll start a new thread detailing the information I've gathered so far so in the future other CLS owners may be able to find more of what they are looking for. I feel a car of this price deserves some effort when it comes to buying wheels, and I've spent way to much time researching it the past few days.
