CLS 550 RWD Storm Red
M-1 0-40 OEM / M-1 15-50

I have a 2012 CLS 550 RWD (Non AMG). Just turned 19 thousand miles and did the second oil change and service "B". Mobil 1 15W50 was put in and explained to me that with the hot and humid conditions we have here in South Fla. that this grade of oil would be ok.
Would like some knowledgeable input on this issue as to wether I should leave it in or change it out to 0-40 Mobil or even the Pennzoil Euro 5W30.
A dealer in South Florida is using the Pennzoil if you want it and it is approved by Mer Bz.

15-50 m1 does not of course meet mb 229.5 spec, the phosphate level is 1200 which is above the 1000 in the 0-40 oil. hi phosphate levels jepordise the cat converter. Glyn Ruck who comments on this form is the most knowledgable oil imfo source imo.
