High beam in Auto mode
Hey CLS owners,
After owning this car for almost 6 months, I only have one question. Why can't we keep the high beam on when the light is in auto mode?

I have found this a bit annoying. Sometimes the computer doesn't deem there to be a need to turn the brights on even if I can hardly see. I end up just turning the light control knob once to the right to keep them on if oncoming traffic isn't an issue.

They will stay on if u change the lights from Auto to On (switch the light switch all the way to the right). Then put your highlights on and they will stay on.
Hope this helps....

the reason you cannot high beam in auto is because you have adaptive lights. what this means is that if your car dreams that it is dark enough it will auto highbeam. if you look last the cluster you will see an A . if you want to turn on high beams manually you will have to switch the lights from auto to on

I don't know what some of you are finding difficult. If you want to control the high beam yourself you simply take it off auto.
If you have it in auto it is a very clever system, turning the light in the direction of your turn, dimming lights on one side or just enough not to blind the oncoming car. It simply does not get any better than this especially if you have LED headlights.
