Best tune for the $$ ... Warranty issues??
1) renntech was $2,500 +130hp (safest choice IMO)
2) OE tuning $955 +70hp (drill small hole in ecu)
Renntech is very pricey although the gains look astonishing. George was a pleasure to speak with and helped me get a better understanding about the tuning process. Renntech tuned 15 ecu's for my local dealership in the last 9-12 months. This makes me feel like i won't run into any warranty issues.
I called OE tuning and they told me 70hp gain but they will have to drill a small hole in my ecu. If in fact anything were to go wrong with my car, mercedes would be able to see the ecu has been altered just by looking at it.
Any experience with OE tuning??
