2006 CLS500
Instant MPG Readout Problem
I replaced my auxiliary battery a few weeks ago and have since noticed that the MPG reading in my 2006 CLS500 has significantly decreased.
The default reading of 20.5 MPG when I start the car begins dropping immediately and is at 15.0 within 60 seconds. This was not the case before I replaced my battery. I would normally see it hit 18.0 under the same conditions.
I used to get 400 miles per tank, now I only get 320.
Does anyone know what could cause this issue? Is the replacement battery connected to fuel economy in any way? Any other issues that I need to consider?
Thanks all,
