would the wheels from 2014 S63 fit a CLS550 ?

I was looking at a set of20" S63 wheels that are for sale and curious if anyone here knows if they would fit ok on a 12 CLS550 ? The offsets are different and im not too familiar with how offsets work.

the wheel specs are as follows

Front: 20" 8.5 ET38
Rear: 20" 9.5 ET38

Ive looked at the optional wheels mercedes sells for the CLS and the wheel width is the same but the offsets are different ET34.5 and ET48 front and back respectively. im wondering if this different in offset would cause the S63 not to fit properly on the CLS ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Roger

The front wheels will be sunken in by 3-4mm and the rear wheels will stick out further by 10mm. Assume the hub is the same size as well as the bolt pattern. Might also want to make sure you have the right length lug bolts as well. Seems like it would fit ; rears sticking out a bit more should not be a problem; on the front you need to take sure you have 3-4 mm to play with in the inside edge to make sure it doesn't rub up against anything on the brakes or the wheel well. Assume nothing would be so close that 3mm would make a difference but you never know.

You're kidding right? You're giving an advice and do not know the basics?

I'm nicotine sure about the hub size, but the bolt pattern is the same on both cars.

Thanks for the input!

The hub and bolt pattern of all Mercedes cars/SUVs, except Gwagon, sold in the US are identical.

The wheels will (or I must say, should) fit. There are no issues at the rear. Front - it depends on the positioning of the inner part of spokes of S63 wheels to CLS calipers when mounted on CLS. Normally, MB likes to run wheels within a few mms of the calipers. 3mm or 5mm wheel spacers, absolutely safe on the front hub, will solve any concerns.

I understand your frustration since this topic has been covered 100 times.. but i'm still gonna help this newb out.

Just like Three said.. front rim is very close to caliper, might not fit.. but nothing a spacer cant fix.. also you didn't state the tire size you intend on using. So here's an idea..
if you go with 245/35 front(plenty of meat on a 8.5) tire will be almost 1" in from fender.
285/30 rear(plenty of meat on a 9.5) tire will be 3/4" in from fender..
you can use 235 front and 275 rear, but tire will be another 5mm sunken in. Nothing spacers cant fix.. My opinion, LOOK FOR DIFFERENT WHEELS.

1. Read what I said, idiot. I said safe on front, because front hub is well over 15mm, which is more than enough room to install 3mm or 5mm spacers and still have enough hub to support wheels. But you would not know that, idiot, would you?

2. You're on my ignore list with 6 other idiots just like you, so do not bother to respond.
