2014 CLS 550
Just picked up a '14 CLS

Well I just traded up from an E350 to a 2014 CLS 550. I was going to get a black one but then I saw the Designo Magno Cashmere and it looked so unique that I had to have it. I love the power I mean I've had powerful cars before but this is great for a stock luxury car. I can't wait to get a tune slapped on as well as wheels and possibly downpipes.

Beautiful car ... Mine is about two months old and I still smile when I look at it. And I've got the matte finish also ... Magno Alanite Grey. Nothing but hand washing, but so worth it. What color is your interior?

I would love to build some downpipes for your car so we can build a jig for it and I would give you a great deal on a set. We may have a set that fits but, if not, we can build you a nice set as well.

Nice I like the Alanite grey I would have probably gone with that if they had one. I haven't done a hand wash yet but every few days I go to a coin wash and spray it with high pressure water and rinse it with spot free water which seems to work fine for keeping the car fresh looking.

Be careful about the coin washes ... The issue is what soap is used. Some are too harsh from what I've read. Even the soaps that have wax are not good ... Just plain soap seems to be best for the matte finish. Have you gotten a lot of good comments on your paint finish?

Get factory instructions on maintenance of the paint. That is a beautiful color but not easy to maintain or repair. High pressure wash is not recommended for any paint.

Yea I'm trying to be cautious about it. I've gotten some comments not as much as my matte black 911 Turbo though.

Where would I find that is it posted on the boards? I've never had issues with it before but I guess its something to think about. I'm sure it has more to do with how much pressure and whether or not paint work has been done improperly.
