2012 CLS550 Comand Update

I have been doing some extensive research on the updates for the NTG4.5 system in my 2012 CLS550. I have seen some posts of people upgrading the Gen 1 (beige) to the Gen 2 (black/gray.)

Does anyone in the USA have the Gen 2 update here? What are some tips or tricks I can use at the dealership to have this update done? Any new features? Command online?

On a side note, what is every ones version of comand in their 2012?

I took some pics of my engineering menu and would love to compare if anyone is up for it.

I've asked about the same thing. The dealer here was no help since this is an extremely rare thing. I actually have an even older version of command that I'd love to see updated.

My dealer has told me its not possible, but then I have read online that it IS possible.

I can't believe there is so little information on the subject of updates for firmware. Can anyone else chime in with their version? Does anyone with a 2012 CLS have the NTG4.5 Gen 2? I know we can not upgrade to the Gen 3 which is 4.5/NTG4.7.
