2011 Mercedes CLS 550...should I buy?

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum. I have always purchased news cars, never used.
I really like the '11 CLS 550, because it isn't a turbo. Considering buying a CPO. Never had a Mercedes only BMW.

Are there any known problems? Are they any more costly in maintenance than a BMW? Should I buy the extended warranty after CPO warranty? Does anyone out there own one, and would or wouldn't you buy it again?

Thanks so much!

Considering it is the last year for that body style I would say why not. You have a CPO so not much to worry about on that part. Get the records and go for it!

What's the turbo issue? I had both engines, '10 E550 and current '12 CLS, and love the TT. Has more power and I believe better fuel economy. You concerned w/ maintenance costs?

Don't do it if your reasoning is trying to avoid TT engines & concern about reliability, you will regret it afterwards. Coming from owning two 7 series to now a MB I would have to admit that I'm very impressed with the Benz and lack of issues that the bimmers are having now. Plus to add, the older 219 body style is nice but it's aged and just doesn't compare to the 218 IMO.

+1! The 2011 looks aged and the 2012+ TTV8 is just awesome.
