Computer module reprogrammed @9K miles
I'm looking at a 2012 CLS, ~15K miles.
The CARFAX report notes that the battery was charged, along with a check of engine/powertrain computer/module at ~8K miles.
This was listed as "20K mile service", although mileage was significantly less.
At ~9K miles, the engine/powertrain computer/module was reprogrammed.
According to the CLS maintenance manual (http://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/DigitalA...ce-Booklet.pdf), neither are considered required or recommended maintenance.
Is this a cause for concern?
Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.
Your explanation makes sense, but nonetheless seems unusual to have two close-in time visits for computer/module checks followed by a battery charge.
