A brand new recall - 2015030005 - 2012-15 CLS

NHTSA Recall Number: 15V137
SUMMARY
Daimler AG (DAG), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that in certain Model Year 2012 - 2015 CLS-Class vehicles, the rear side marker lamps may not illuminate according to specifications and vehicles might not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, Lamps, reflective devices and associated equipment. The illumination level might be below the required level due to a software coding issue which leads to the non-activation of certain LEDs. Insufficient illumination levels in certain measuring points of the rear side marker function may reduce vehicle visibility for lateral traffic and could increase the risk of a crash.
