Possible brake issue slight jerk when releasing brakes

Hello
I have a 2014 CLS-550 4matic. My car has a slight jerk forward after releasing the brakes. The problem is intermittent and sometimes the car acts normal without the slight jerk forward. I took the car to 2 different MB dealers with no resolution. The dealer tells me this is a common problem on the CLS but I don't see many posts describing this issue. It is very annoying to have this happen. The car only has 9K miles with new rotors and brakes installed before 8K miles. I purchased the car as a CPO dealer owned car with 7600 miles and discovered the rotors were slightly scored so the dealer replaced all 4 rotors. Also new OEM pads were installed on all wheels. I am not sure if the problem is related to the brakes. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

My 2014 CLS550 has the same problem, especially when the car is first driven in the morning. I have not brought it to the dealer's attention yet.

I had the same issue in my 2012 CLS550 and noticed it in the first year of ownership (the car was purchased new). It turns out that this hesitation was not the brakes at all. When you come to a complete stop, the car actually goes into neutral to save gas (whether or not you are in sport or eco mode). When you lift off the brake, it's engaging into gear creating that hesitation. To prove this, you can prevent it from happening in the following way: come to a complete stop, foot on the brake. Shift your gear leaver down to drive (even though you are already in drive). This will put it into gear and when you lift off the brake, there will be no hesitation. When I last checked a year ago, there was no software update to correct this/remove this feature.

Possible brake issue 2014 CLS550 4matic

Hi Olaf,
Thanks very much for the response I appreciate the help. Itried your recommendation and the car reacted as you described. My car does this intermittently so not surehow the car determines when to shift into neutral. One of the MB dealer techs testdrove the car with me and said he would try a software update related to thetorque converter but there was no change with this issue. I will continue tocheck with MB for any updates to solve this issue.
Thanks again for yourhelp, Bob

That would explain why the jerk is more pronounce when the engine is cold as the rpm is higher. Now that the weather is getting warming, the problem is less apparent.

I have this problem also, but only occurs after a full stop. If i let it roll slightly forward, brake and release it doesn't do it, only after i've driven and come to a full stop. I always thought this was a safety feature for when you're on a hill so it doesn't roll back.
