Really uncomfortable multi-contour seats . . .
I've had multi-contour seats in other vehicles that are great but the multi-contour seats in our 2013 CLS 550 are very uncomfortable. This car has the seat controls along the top right of the seat and includes massage. I've been told by the dealer that the seats are functioning properly, but the problem is the arc in the seat is not in the lower lumbar region but in the mid to upper back. Because of this upper contour, it is almost impossible to lean all the way back in the seat and have your shoulders touch the back.
My wife and I are both average size (5'10" and 5'4"). If our car is typical, I can't imagine that the forums aren't loaded with complaints from owners. A neighbor has a new C63 AMG with multi-contour seats and they feel much different.
So, are there any other owners who feel that their multi-contour seats don't come close to fitting the contour of their backs?

Are they Mercedes seats? Are you in the US? why are the seat controls on the top right of the seats. The controls should be on the door and near the rear seat bottom on the right of the seats. Maybe a picture will clear things up.

The multicontour seats take some time to adjust and get right. I found them a little odd at first as well. But once I got them dialed in, they're great. I miss them when I am in a rental.
I found its tricky to get the side bolsters, lumbar, and seat angle just right.
I will admit the new seats in the E300 are quite comfy. It would be nice if those made it over to the CLS.

Yes, I am in the US and the seats are factory multicontour seats. The controls are between the seat and the center console. My car is a 2013 but it is the same for my neighbors 2016 C63 AMG with multicontour seats, except hers are comfortable.

Those are factory seats and the seat in neighbors 2016 C63 AMG is not the same as your car's. Have you try reclining the seat back some and pumping up the lumbar support? The side bolsters also affects the seat's back support, try adjusting that thru its full range.
