CLS 2011 NTG5.1 Retrofit from NTG 4.5
Hello Merc Lovers!
Im from Latvia, and we have a lack of specialists in Mercedes retrofitting, thats why Im in need of your help.
I have c218 12.2011 Mercedes CLS. I changed my 4.5 comand online to Audio20 CD NTG 5s1 (without Navi) and a new screen with a correct screen holder. Later I went to the Dealer to "register" and activate my Comand.
For now I have few problems and issues with it:
1) I have an old controller, with two buttons, so it doesnt work. Can I get some adapter so my old controller works? Is yes, then where?
2) Media info doesnt show up in cockpit. Is it a programming issue? And if not, what are the recommendations to fix it?
3) sometimes, with no logic screen turns off for 1-2 seconds, then turn on(music doesnt stop playing, or any other interruptions) SCN coding is not finished, so I thought maybe because of that.
4) the place where the new screen is fitted, there should be some "cover", so you dont see the wires behind the new screen.

I'd be interested to follow this. If you can post some pictures and some other members may be able to help you.
Only problem is I don't recall many people doing this retrofit so support will be limited to be honest
