Instrument Cluster Rattle

This would be my 8th trip to a dealer ... anyone has a clue why this would be happening and what would be the fix as they clearly don't have a fix ...

This one has both front and back:

Mines make a slight noise but thats coming from the three circle plastic from the front gauges. Was your car bought used? Maybe something feel inside the vents?

Same as TTMBLCS

I've experienced the same noise from the driver's gauges. It only occurs in warm weather never during the winter, which I assume is a function of the materials expanding and creating pressure points.

The dealer attempted a fix while under warranty but the noise remains. There was a thread on the E-class forum showing how to remove the gauges to apply felt tape, haven't tried that one yet.

Best of luck!

Yes- It's coming from the three circular gages in the driver's stack. Dealer had no clue as to where the noise was coming from, but I figured this out for myself. The noise is not from the gages, but rather the cheapo black plastic trim ABOVE them, at the interface to the padded dash top. Just tap it with your finger and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's blocked from view with the steering wheel top rim. Added felt tape between the plastic trim and dash and the noise is completely gone. Be advised, this took weeks to figure out the exact cause, but the effort was well worth it. I have helped out others on this forum with the same problem.
