New 1 year/22K miles CLS550 need new brakes
My wife's bought new 2015 CLS550 4matic last year with 22K miles has developed a slight vibration during braking at low speed. She does mostly highway driving. Took it to the dealer and was told front rotors are warped and rusty. Also was told the pads, front and back, are down to 30%. The cost for complete brakes job is freaking $2500!!! IMHO this is way too soon for a relatively new car. My 2009 Carrera with 97K miles still on original brakes and old 2002 E55 didn't need brakes jobs until 100K miles. My question is CLS brake job a DIY like other cars? I am planning to change the rotors and pads in the Fall after I deal with the POS GL550 front airmatic shocks replacement.
