CLS550 Rear Bumper Refresh
Hi,
I'm in process of swapping my 2014 CLS550 rear bumper to refresh version that has side vent accents.
Have found out some differences and have questions below:
1. The 2014 parktronic distance sensors (A2125420018) dont fit into the mounting holes deep enough where they lock into place with tabs. If I replace these sensors (6 as opposed to 4) with refresh version (00090555049999) and updated harness (2185403832), will it be compatible with existing system?
2. The radar sensor brackets are different and appears I need some type of top bracket to secure the radar sensor in place. Does anyone have the part number for this?
3. I need to replace the rear bumper cover frame A2188850665. When I search online, it only comes up in European websites available as used. Is there alternate part number for this used in the USA that I can buy brand new?
4. Many of the internal reinforcements that connect to the bumper are with rivets. Can someone recommend rivet gun tool that works with Mercedes Benz rivet replacements? I can probably drill them all out and use screws or bolt/nuts instead, but prefer rivets if possible.
5. What are the part numbers for the mesh cover grills for the side vents?
6. Can surround view be retrofit into 2014 models assuming I purchase all required parts for this and install? Does anyone know if the dealer could program comand system thereafter?
