So just how fast are these CLS550 BiTurbos with a tune/exhaust? (1/4 mile)
I'm curious just how fast these BiTurbos are with a tune/exhaust and any other common bolt ons in the 1/4 mile.
I'm looking to replace my E55 after 6 pretty reliable years with something a bit newer, that's still fast, has decent maintenance costs (I do most of my own work), and a lot of class and good looks for a reasonable price. The BiTurbo AMG's are out of my price range for now but I have the itch for a new car already. I've also considered a CTSV as well but it just doesn't seem to have the presence of a nice Merc.
I welcome any input on these cars performance wise or in general.

I'm getting my 13 CLS550 4Matic Weistec ECU tuned. Already dropped my car at the shop, the tech had to ship my ECU back to Weistec to get it flashed. Stock 402 HP, and expecting 540 HP+ and 614 TQ after the tune. I have also installed ''speeddriven'' high flow 200 cell downpipes, removed muffler silencers and resonators, but kept my mufflers to avoid drone on HWY. I'm getting my car back in a week. Let's wait and see the result.
Weistec tune 1500 + 240 Labor
Speed driven DP 1500 + 300 labor(just bought it less than a month from their web, but now their web doesn't work at all)
not sure about 1/4 mile, but 0-60 should be under 4 sec where stock CLS550 4matic is rated at 4.6.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

What all is involved with changing to the speed driven downpipes (I do have a good muffler shop in town)? Would that be a better option than hollowing out the cats (and does anything need to be done with the O2 sensors? any check engine light issues?) I recently removed the resonators and am amazed by the sound and now I think I need to keep tuning (I unfortunately have minimal car knowledge). I am considering adding the electric exhaust valves in near future as well and plan on getting the eurotech ECU after I finish with these mods.
Thanks in advance

Wow, just checked the FI exhaust page.....sick! A little to expensive to put on a 2013 car though. There is a post on here of an after market electric exhaust valve that would just have an on and off (from the picture seems like a fairly easy install as well)....so you don't think that is a good in-between option? Maybe I will just forget this and go with something similar to what you have and then tune immediately after.

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ecu tune; edok tcu tune; BB intakes; dyno tuned
Low 12’s from stock 12.8 seconds in 1/4
some would argue you can get them in the high 11’s

Where do you find the performance improvement specs on their site? All I see is the lists of what they sell with NO information about each product. Seems kinda weird to me...

There is another thread where someone posted a picture of his bypass located just prior to the muffler assembly... I am now just thinking of getting Renntech or other exhaust and not complicating things too much....looking forward to seeing dyno results

I would love to throw our hats in the ring too..... all the gains without the mb tax
Our tune is on sale right now too....just hit me up for special pricing! (cheapest by far on the market right now for early black friday)
just for awareness on the gains advertised.....that is all at the crank
ours is at the wheels as well and I actually have one on the dyno now in houston (i can throw up a graph if anyone is interested)
with any of the tunes you are looking at around 459 and 578 at the wheels (540/685 crank)

I went from 13.0 stock to 12.1 with a Vivid Racing stage one ECU tune, very happy with results! Totally stock otherwise. VR Tune put me in the number one spot on Drag Times. This was done in Phoenix AZ, with 2500+' DA

Yes, downpipes allow for more airflow through the turbos. Since the track times were posted we have revised the Stage2 tune for more power output.

2015 stage 2 DME tune. Muffler delete, single resonator delete, chrome delete, UPD filters. Not much done to the car in terms of internals, the tune came with a module and was all handheld. Car this heavy shouldn’t be moving that fast off the line…seriously impressed with this cars stock internals but you could go even crazier with beefier turbos. Makes about ~600hp crank and 660lbtq. Have bested a lot of fast cars with this, all while getting a cooled massage in this Texas heat🤣

not sure the accuracy, didn’t do the run on a prepped surface just at a red light and did not brake boost. Definitely think it could have been a cleaner run. Even spun a bit bc the road was not all that clean.

Ohh, yours is a RWD? I was assuming it was 4Matic. That's why I said it should be getting mid 3's on a proper launch.
