Hello everyone on here. First I would like to say you guys are awesome on here and that I have done a lot of research on here. I fell in love with the cls550 especially the C218. I’m not going to bore you with the details I have read a lot on what to look out for when buying the car and of course it’s European luxury vs Asian so I know there is a price bump on the maintenance. I am one of those coming from Asian luxury to MB. The car I am looking to close on this Monday Dec 11 is 2014 cls 550 with 29k on miles on it the questions I have is what are things I need to look for and check out at this point.This car is not coming from MB dealer it’s from a CarMax style seller.It was not leased I have done the car fax and ran it through. Y insurance to double check. I have bought 2 cars from Texas direct autos before and zero issues. But even then Dose anyone know of a aftermarket extended warranty company to use to cover any mishaps. .........What life are you guys getting out of the brakes and I know that depends on driving style but just looking for a ball park figure in mileage . Also the famous air ride suspension how is that working out for you. Thank you for your time and responces even if it’s “we covered this a million times” . Or any other concerns you guys have experenced. Thank you again

I would look and make sure you could verify the maintenance records. The engines are pretty bullet proof. I'd check the tires make sure they are good. Those wear before anything else. I bought mine in March of this year at 7500 miles on it from an MB dealer and have gone almost 10K with no issues. Can't speak to brake wear too much as I don't have that many miles. i just know the original tires that were on it were crap and the rims had to be repaired because the previous owner hit a pot hole and bent them so I replaced my tires and rims. 2014 with 7000-7500 mi/yr sounds pretty good. Mazzojo covered the main points regarding maintenance records. My 2012 is only at about 12,500 mi., so I also wonder about brake wear. An inspection is probably in order.
