Center Console Disassembly on 2016 CLS to run iPhone cable
I'm expecting to have to drill a hole in the front facing side of the Storage Bin to get the cable in there. I'm hoping I can pull out the ash tray and cupholder/storage bin, and do the rest without any further parts removal.
The key challenge is... carefully drilling a hole in the storage bin in a place where I won't damage anything when I punch through. And being able to fish the cable with a coat hanger or something under the Command knob area into the bin.
The attached instructions from @konigstiger is very helpful. It looks like the front part of my task is just a few screws/bolts.
Konigstiger, or anyone else, do you have any info on the storage bin area? Any videos?

I really need some guidance on how to get a cable into the storage compartment. I either need help removing the USB panel from the storage compartment, or removing that whole front wall from the storage compartment. It seems like that front wall is separate from the storage compartment, as I can get a thin tool all the way around it. I just don't know how to get it out.
I also don't see how to get the top panel with the command controller off.
@konigstiger do you have any instructions related to either of these?
None of the videos on Youtube cover this setup.
Anyone else ever dismantled the console on their facelift CLS?
