Illuminated door sill
2014 CLS. Has the illuminated "Mercedes" door sill that lights when the door is opened. My drivers side is no longer illuminating. Zero info in the owners manual. Been googling the subject and seem to only find entire units for sale at large $ values.
Is this fixable with a bulb replacement? (remove the sill and replace a bulb?) .
Hope I don't have to spend $110-s to fix this (because I wouldn't)

Yes, but mine are cheapies (still nice) from eBay.
I had to pull up the sill and door molding, reconnect the wires and then tape.
Worked fine ever since.
There's a DIY thread floating around but I think the pictures no longer show up.
