Hi, new owner from Northern VA. I am back in MB camp after 8 years (former GL450 owner). I am a proud owner of Lunar Blue Metallic/Saddle Brown 2016 CLS400 4Matic. I looked all over the country for right combination of color, price, and condition and finally found my CLS in Chicago. I already have AMG door lock pins and Mancinni floor mats (dark brown) on order.

I am thinking of doing a 40% carbon tint as soon as I can. I would love to have an illuminated star, but will have to look for a workaround as I have Distronic star. As a Cal alum, I am also thinking of maybe having gold plated or vinyl wrapped emblems, but that may look too gaudy... I have seen plenty of Lexus with gold emblems, but have yet to see Mercedes with one.
My only disappoint so far is with the COMAND screen. It's very low resolution compared to my old Audi or BMW. I also remember Navigation unit on my old GL was the worst nav unit ever. I will have to see if this is any better. I understand that I can get a Garmin nav that can be inserted into the SD slot to display on COMAND display. I also haven't played with any internet connectivity or trying to get Android Auto on this car (Manufacture date is 01/16).
You mentioned the Garmin navigation SD card... Do you have the Audio 20 system, or Comand Online system? I'm guessing since you mentioned you can do the sd card navigation that you have Audio 20? Your Screen looks just like mine, I'm still trying to learn all the packages and trim differences between the CLS'. I have a 2015 CLS550 and I'm near you, working over at Andrews... My car has the Comand Online system and I find the screen resolution is very sharp, DVD's are incredibly clear. Shouldn't your 2016 already have CarPlay/Android Play? Go into your telephone menu and scroll though the tabs, you should see it...
Your interior with the brown leather is very very sharp!! Definitely a beautiful interior! Excellent find! I like the Poplar wood much better than the Burl wood i have....

Android Auto was incrementally added and from what I have read, phased in from manufacture date of 03/16 and later. I don't have Garman Navigation SD card, so I don't know if that would work with my car.
