Brake suggestions for 2012 CLS550?
Getting about time to replace my brakes. I have the AMG appearance package with 19" wheels. I've been told that makes a difference for the brake parts. Stock replacement looks to be about $1800. Suggestions based on experience for aftermarket? I don't race nor drive super aggressive. Thanks!

If the car isn't an AMG then it should have only one set of part numbers for the brakes, regardless of any appearance package. So you were, I believe, misinformed.
Given your driving style the OE brakes are more than sufficient for your needs. You can go with MB parts or pretty much any after market, thou you probably want to avoid the low end of the after market. If you've been using OE style pads you might consider switching to ceramics - as they cut way down on brake dust.
