Currently Tuned on 2014 CLS 550.. Has Anyone Went from Stage 1 to 2 with Warranty?
Whats up world! I have had my OE tune for 2 years now and man it is the single best thing about the car... I have been considering going back to OE for a stage 2 with downpipes set up... has anyone done this change from stage 1?? or i guess just went for stage two? i imagine the jump wont be as prominent compared to going from stock to stage 1... but its definitely a consideration...
it's worth noting i have an extended cpo warranty until march of next year and my SA typically looks the other way for any repairs.... but i have never done downpipes before and cant imagine that being lowkey lol

What you don't want is for your car to be classified as "Status 8". Meaning that all warranty repairs will be looked at with a microscope and your car is flagged as such in the Mercedes system. Personally I wouldn't "go there" if you have a warranty and want to be able to use it. Marv

i hear you.. OE has great relationships with most dealers in their surrounding areas but im in DTLA and i have a good relationship with my SA... they wanted to do an ecu update when they were fixing something else and called me to ask if i modified the ecu which i did and that he will not do it since it would fry my ecu... so he looks out and i hook him up too... so im wondering how intrusive or problematic stage 2 would be in this regard... of course its a always a risk that we run.. but this car has given me no problems honestly with the exception of like 2 things in 2 years and some change... so idk..
