Engine tick at 30-40mph
Hey everyone,
I have a 2016 CLS400, I noticed there is a ticking noise that you can hear from inside and the outside when you hit about 30-40mph but then goes away after about 40mph. We've had it to the dealership before and they "fixed" it saying that something with the throttle was loose but I didnt really believe them since this car should have fly by wire throttle.. not cable. I then thought it could be a sticky valve or bad gas so i bought Royal Purple Max Atomizer fuel injector cleaner and had my wife drive it to Ventura and back. Although we have ran through a full tank yet, i was wondering if anyone has any other ideas what would cause this irritating tick!! thank you!!!
