2012 CLS550 Battery Replacement
I'm looking for any information available regarding replacing the battery in my 2012 CLS550.
For instance, does anyone have a link to an instructional video?
Will I have to reset any of the electronic settings...computer reset, etc.?
I'm not a seasoned mechanic, but do have some skills. I prefer to seek out as much information prior to any task regarding my Benz even if I think I already know what to do.

When i had to replace my battery i just took it to a car parts shop and they replaced it for me. I paid the battery and they did the labor.
Usually if you plan on doing yourself there is a thing you need (don't remember what's called) in order not to lose all the system presets and some basic data ( seat memory settings, windows auto roll up, and some other stuff).
Not sure why you'd like to do it yourself since shops don't charge extra for labor. Some shops will refuse to do the job, since they don't have the back-up system while they disconnect the battery.

Thanks Ghostty. I'll try to find a shop that will replace it for me without labor cost. I do have a jumper starter that will keep power to the computer/engine so I can avoid all the resets. But it's fairly complicated, possible dangerous, and I'd prefer to avoid using it.

On the older cars it was simple - take the wrench, loosen 2 bolts, remove the 2 terminals, take down the battery, put the new one in, work your way back. Now it's similar, just you want to have that settings saver device, that's all. If you don't feel comfortable doing it - take it to a battery shop. Might want to try even Walmart / Costco / Sam's Club or pretty much any automotive store.
