Trunk Close button stopped working
Hello,
So, the trunk Lock/Close button stopped working located at the bottom of the trunk lid. At first, it would lock the doors, but won't close the trunk by itself. I could hear the locks being locked and the trunk lid stayed open. I had to manually close the trunk. Also, I had to replace the battery upfront last month, two to three weeks ago. Ever since the battery change, I don't hear the locks click nor does the trunk closes automatically.
Anybody has had a similar issue and got it fixed?
Can't believe I manually close and lock the doors on my other cars, but this feature not working in the CLS is taking away my sleep lol.

Check wiring harness in left trunk hinge however, since malfunction coordinates with battery change most likely needs reset using MB diagnostics (Xentry, DAS, etc.)

I see. Thanks for that. I will try to check with my MB mechanic about that and see if he can help with that software reset.

Wire harness good? Software reset??
Hey just wanted to know if you found a fix for this issue as I’ve encountered it now. Was it a software fix? I’ve found mine stopped working after disconnecting the battery for some electrical work I was doing.
