Jacking point
Also this piece looks like is made of plastic, unless i'm missing something.
At the rear, I jack on the flat spot of the differential. If you have an AMG do not jack on the cooling fins, jack on the actual differential housing. I use a hockey puck to prevent scratching but a piece of wood works fine too.
There are 4 jacking points at each corner of the body, look just behind the front wheel and in front of the rear wheel under the side skirt of the car. You should see 4 rubber pads, those are the body lift points where I place jack-stands. You can get the jack stand to "notch" into the rubber jack pad so it is secure. Do an aggressive wiggle test to make sure the jack stands are seated properly and do not have any give or sway.
There is an additional center front lift point which is the picture you are showing. That one is totally fine to jack from (it is basically on the K-member of the engine I think), but again you need a piece of wood or hockey puck because it is slightly recessed and you will crush the plastic if you have a cup-style jacking pad. I still need to try one of the mercedes-style jack pad adapters that they sell on Amazon and such but honestly my system works pretty well for me
I don't have a low-profile long reach jack, so I usually jack off the chassis jack pads and put 4x4 blocks of wood under the tires, then move the jack to the center front jacking point to further lift the vehicle, remove the blocks of wood and I can put jack stands under the body jack points. I always have a wheel slid under the car as well in case the car somehow falls, the rear tires are way taller than my head is so it should prevent it from getting squished, LOL. Always have a failsafe in place
