Got my dragy today, did one run at a -2.95% slope so it was not a perfectly straight road, and got 4.64 seconds. Will be trying some runs tomorrow probably, and will try with traction control off as I heard it can improve 0-60 time. I just hope I can hit 4.4 or less lol.

[QUOTE=Adi-Benz;8316054]Those are definitely crank numbers. V6TT will not make 585 crank on a stage 1 lol.

No, I was talking about the 550 models, M278. And I forgot to mention the 585hp was for Stage 2.

I thought I'd post here instead of making a new thread; but for those of you with burble tunes, does your car start to jerk when the exhaust pops? For example, you let off the accelerator and it's coming down from 4000RPM to about 2000, and when it's near 2000 the car starts to jerk in sport mode. This only happens with the burble tune file.

I can't help obviously, but that shouldnt be normal.

Have any sound clips? Personally I'd never run a burble tune because theyre bad for the engine components.

The car shouldn't behave any diff with the burble tune. I had it with stock exhaust and the car was just fine. For Stage 2, I asked for a regular tune and a burble tune file. I am just running the regular Stage 2 file, nor burble, and the car does quite a few pops when it hits the RPM range. I would look into what's going on as that jerking isn't normal. Maybe run it through with the tuning company and have them test the tune file they sent you? Maybe they can catch a "mistake" with the tune and fix it.

It's weird man. I just took it off and switched to the non burble version of the same tune and no jerks whatsoever. About an hour ago with the burble tune, I downshifted to first gear at 40kph and it kicked back to about 4k rpm, and as my speed went down to about 12kph, I felt the most violent jerk ever with this burble tune. They're going to be testing the same tune on another car tomorrow, but that super violent jerk just got me to switch to the non burble version. I know that burble tunes are bad for the cats and O2 sensors, but downshifting in traffic to hear some burbles is kind of fun not gonna lie lol. It just sucks that it causes this jerky motion, and hopefully can be fixed.

So here are my best runs, first is with esp on, then off. 14.5C, wet road, less than 1/4 gas tank and in sport with brake boost @2k rpm held for about 3 seconds. Kind of disappointed but I do feel like it can do 4.4-4.5. This was on 94 octane.

Edit: I just found a CLS400 online with some dragy times with apparently the same tune that I have, getting much better times. Now I'm second guessing if my tune really has those figures lol. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...85117984865392

WTH lol so a C400 with just a tune will be beating a tuned CLS550 lol that's a shady game right there lol. I'm disappointed. Apparently, EC website claims Stage 1 for C400 at 480hp from 329. Stage 2 could be looking at around 520hp.

The C400 that got those times was 4Matic. I'm pretty sure a 4Matic tuned 550 would beat a C400 with this tune, not sure about a rwd tuned 550 to 60 will beat the c400 4matic to 60.

Nah I don't do pulls from dead-stop lol this thing got so much torque for the streets. I've seen plenty of videos of people going sideways and crashing. I only do the freeway rolls. Better safe than sorry. Sometimes I get a spin at 35-40mph, even.

Received a new tune file a couple of weeks ago. Did some runs today, and got better times.

First run is with traction on, brake boosting, 16 degrees C, dry roads, 91 octane with barely any gas (gas tank light on).

The second run is with traction off, with all other variables the same as the first run. 4.38 on an upward slope of 4.36% got me pretty excited. Not an expert on dragy, but if this was a flat road, this could be 4.1 or 4.2? Anyways, time to return this dragy lol.

That is really impressive. That may be a custom tune for that car.

Custom tunes on 550s according to notaamg dropped his times by .3 or .4 to sixty

fwiw my own tune plus tcu tune i pull 4.11s but i also have no clue how to launch

Yeah it's a custom file from Jerry. Initially when I paid the re-flash fee, I was getting 4.7-4.8, got another file and was getting around that too, and this last file has been much more powerful. I do believe being near empty on gas helps as it saves a lot of weight? Now I think my car is making those advertised figures. I'm too scared to do the TCU tune haha; I'd rather leave it be. I just wish my sport+ was working because that would shave a couple tenths. I think my car can do 4.1 with traction off, maybe on a colder day 4.0; add sport+ and it'd be sub 4 seconds. Perhaps 94 octane would help a bit as well. Overall, I'm much happier now knowing I'm in the low 4's.

Really good times you get. Nice

I think without TCU tune you can't go low 4. Go for that TCU tune man!

You get 4.11 with ECU tune and TCU tune? Theres something wrong there with the ECU tune or TCU tune. My car runs now 3,85s without TCU tune.

I did just punch the pedal flat down and get that 3.85s time. Think your car should run under 4. Like you said TCU should help maybe 0.3.

Maybe it's just me but I don't think I'll notice a .2 second difference to 60mph but I will notice having a couple hundred dollars less 😂

@Adi-Benz It was recommended to me that I get a TCU tune to get better times. When I inquired, the cost was $1,500-1,600. Nahhhhhh lol

For me the TCU would be MUST when I go the M157 turbos.

Also personally for me I'm ready to pay some money if I can gain 0,2 or more on 0-60 or 1/4 mile Lol

For me, I'd rather not spend a couple thousand on a TCU tune. If I had the 550 4Matic I'd be plenty satisfied with a stage 1 tune as you're getting like 550hp and 700 pound feet. That's like 3.6 0-60? I also feel like I may sell the car in a year or two, so no point in spending more on mods, I think I'm done.

Another simple mod you can do is get the FlexFuel tune from EC. Or inquire what numbers would you be putting out with E85. If you want to go that route. You can run up to 50% Ethanol on stock parts, as I've seen a few ppl on this forum do it on their W218/212 platform. With that, there is no changing of parts or installing anything. Just a different fuel to add. Just saying

PS: I'm waiting for my FelexFuel tune.

We don't have E85 here. I'm cool running 91 here lol. If I want to, I have the choice of 94 from Chevron but I'd rather pay $7.30 a gallon than $8.20. As for TCU tunes again, they do seem pretty cool. I just saw a video of an E43 vs an E400 (both 2017) go to 60; both have the same 9G Tronic transmission, but on the 43 since it's an AMG, the transmission shifts are tuned to be so much faster in comparison to the E400's it's crazy.

I hope that TCU tune makes the shifting much faster than stock cuz that tune is pricey lol. But I won't be going with TCU tune. It's quite pricey for me, but I would love quicker shifts. And I am unsure if the TCU tune changes in any reliability of the transmission? I don't really understand what TCU tune actually does lol.
I believe it removes the TQ limiter in each gear so it doesn't go in limp mode when you floor it? And quicker shifts?

I just got my E85 tune and ran it. I feel the difference and seems like it has a **** ton of torque now lol. I will never do pulls from dead-stop bc I'm afraid to spin and look like Mustang lol. Maybe that's my reason for not doing TCU tune. I'm planning to do dyno pulls sometime soon to get an exact reading on the #s vs what Eurocharged's M278 dyno sheet.

after the tune does the new numbers torque and go show on dash readings?
