16 E400 to 14 CLS 550 Should I?
We've been happy with our first MB, a 16 E400 that now has 124k. We have had it about 2 years now and have only driven it 8k over the past 2 years. Other than an odd gremlin with the "park" button not always working in the extreme cold, no issues. I've done the maintenance myself including plugs and transmission service. Today my wife spotted a 14 CLS 550 which I must admit I have little experience with. Went out to take a look and a test drive, boy what a beautiful car. Only has 80k on it, dealer records included. The performance of the V8 is wonderful.
Without the benefit of nights cruising these forums, anything I should look out for? The airmatic is potentially a problem area, it seems that the 4.7 engine is robust. Everything else seems pretty much similar to the E400.
Thanks for the opinions. We are smitten with the sleek look of the 4dr coupe. It is anthracite with diamond silver metallic exterior. I expect that we will have to pay a small amount of difference to move into a 2 year older car with less miles.

Not too much of a difference, if you prefer the facelift design look for 2015+.
Otherwise a reliable vehicle and similar to the E in several ways. Airmatic can have it's troubles, but it also rides very nicely. Facelift (may?) have less issues for that but either way it will be different than standard suspension.
