Question Steel Wheels for Winter

Anyone know where I can get steel wheels for winter use? The 18" versions

Also, for those of you that have these AMG wheels. Have you left them on in winter and if so, how to they hold up?
Thanks.

I've yet to see a mercedes 2000+ make year with steel wheels. Unless you're talking about vans. For you would be much easier to source used or even new alloy wheels. People swap wheels constantly, so you just need to know the offset on your wheels to find something similar. My CLS400 has 18 inch wheels, and they work just fine. But I live in Cali, so I don't get much winter at all, if any.

Ghostty, If I'm going to put alloy wheel back on, I might as well use these. I'm hoping that someone chimes in from the northern states that has cold and snowy winters and leaves their wheels on. And tell me how the finish holds up.
My car as seen in the original post here is a cls400 also. Thanks for the input.
The car never really seen winter since since I've had it, it's been part time toy and is now a daily driver.

I understand your point of view, but what I meant is sourcing the steel wheels might be an issue. And I daily drive mine. Beware, if your is AWD you will need to make sure to match the MB specs to not trigger any errors with the system. If regular RWD - you're fine.

Best winter advice I can give is dedicated snow tires, slow down, and remember awd helps you go but it’s stopping that’s the hazardous part. Most of the cars I saw in the ditch were awd suvs. Lulled into complacency by how well they accelerated they forgot they always had four wheel brakes and awd doesn’t help you decelerate.
