2012 Airmatic Leakage
My car hasn’t been visibly sagging but does say it is rising sometimes when starting up after sitting overnight or longer so I’ve been expecting some issues. Hoping maybe just a leaking air line or something minor but my Indy mechanic says he sees visible liquid leakage around the rear shocks. I haven’t examined yet but since the suspension is airmatic, do the shocks still have hydraulic fluid as normal shocks do?
is it possible just to replace the shocks themselves, assuming no other hose or compressor leaks?

Nope. Just air in the air ride suspension system. I just had this situation. Driver’s side began leaking slowly, then the other side started it, too. The back end would go all the way down overnight. Took it to the dealership, and they ran the system test. Lines, compressor, and valves ok. They replaced the rear air bags with Dorman aftermarket units, and reset the ride height all around. Problem solved.
