Brake Noise
Hi,
I replaced my front rotors/pads in May with OEM rotors/pads. About 3 weeks ago, I almost got T-boned but braked as hard as I ever did. I did feel a bit of vibration in the brakes at the very end, but managed to come to a complete stop. It was a sunny day, so it wasn’t the tires skidding or anything like that, pretty sure it was ABS kicking in.
After that encounter, on my way home, my brakes started to make this noise but this noise only ever comes when the car is about to come to a complete stop (like that 1 second left at the end and you’re completely stopped). It’s been 3 weeks now and about 50% of the time when I brake to a complete stop, that last second there’s this sound, and it sometimes loud and sometimes it’s not. Today I was taking a left turn coming down a hill, I’m gradually moving forward as I’m waiting cars to pass so I’m going like 1kph and the brakes are making that noise and it’s super loud as I’m on a hill.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of this sound/what could be wrong?
